This culinary recipe reflects all the colors of Turkish cuisine – sweetness and sharpness. But, to be honest, carrot balls are "for an amateur." Someone can't eat carrots in any form. I do not belong to this group of people, so I am happy to share the recipe.
First prepare the sauce. Whisk sour cream with garlic and lemon juice, season with ground pepper and salt to taste. You can also finely chop some of your favorite herbs here. The sauce should be very spicy to set off the sweet taste of the balls.
Now we steam the carrots (I use a steamer) and dry them well. Through a meat grinder, we pass carrots along with apricots, onions, herbs, nuts and garlic and leave this mixture for half an hour. Then add the egg, bread crumbs, salt and pepper. The mixture should be sticky.
It's time for creativity – we form balls from the carrot mass, roll them in flour and fry them in vegetable oil until a crust forms.
Carrot balls should be served with hot sauce - delicious food.
