Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients for almond milk. There are only two of them: the nut itself is almonds and pure filtered water. The process of making almond milk itself is literally a couple of minutes, but you need to prepare the nuts for this process in advance. Wash the nuts thoroughly with water, put them in a bowl and pour cold clean water, leave overnight. In the morning we drain the water, the almonds should swell, once again we rinse the nuts well with water.
Step 2:
The skin of the nuts does not need to be removed, because the kernels will be ground into flour in a blender. In a blender or other unit, on which the nuts can be ground very finely, we put almonds. If there is no blender with a large bowl, you can grind almonds in a coffee grinder, and then beat the almond crumbs with water with a whisk or mixer until you get a milk drink. Anyone who wants to get a sweeter drink can add a couple of pieces of washed and pitted dates or prunes.
Step 3:
You can add cocoa, honey, vanilla, cinnamon or other flavoring. Pour boiled cold water into the blender bowl. Close the blender with a lid and grind the mass at maximum speed for about 2 minutes. Then the nut mass is filtered through a strainer with a very fine mesh or gauze folded in several layers.
Step 4:
The cake can not be thrown away, but left for baking. The dough with almond flour will get a pleasant nutty taste.
Step 5:
Almond milk can be served to the table with cookies, buns as an independent product or added to tea, coffee or cocoa. Almond milk can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Bon appetit!
