Sour cream dough for pie

Soft dough without yeast for a delicious pie. From the dough prepared according to this recipe, you can bake a pie with sweet or salty filling. If you plan to use sweet, then add vanilla or vanilla sugar to the dough for additional flavor. The pie will come out large in size and it will be possible to feed 8 people. At the output, the baking turns out soft and airy.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Pour sour cream into a small bowl, add soda, mix everything with a spoon and leave to start the reaction. Sour cream should be taken out of the refrigerator in advance so that it gets room temperature.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs at room temperature, add salt and sugar and beat everything well with a whisk. If you are going to cook a pie with a sweet filling, for example, with fruit, jam, etc., then add less sugar - about 0.5 cups.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour the sour cream mixture into a bowl with eggs. Stir with a whisk until the sugar is smooth and completely dissolved.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Pour the flour that needs to be sifted beforehand or sifted directly into a bowl using a strainer or a special mug. Start kneading with a spoon or silicone spatula. Flour can be poured not all, but in parts, so that the dough does not turn out too tight and mealy. So it is more convenient to adjust the amount of flour, which may need a little less - it all depends on the quality of the flour and the manufacturer.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

When the dough is well gathered into a lump, pour in vegetable oil and continue kneading until the oil is completely absorbed into the dough.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Transfer the dough to the work surface and finish kneading it. At this stage, you may need a little more flour on the bottom, since after adding oil, the dough may stick to your hands a little. As a result, we should have a soft, elastic and pliable dough, but by no means tight. We form a ball, cover the dough with cling film directly on the table and leave it to rest for 10-15 minutes. Next, we bake a pie according to the recipe.

This is one of the simplest, most accessible and my most favorite dough recipes, which is an ideal base for a pie, and you can also make delicious oven pies from it. Cook with pleasure!
