Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 10 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare all the ingredients for making fizz, which consists of only 4 ingredients: soda, citric acid, powdered sugar and water.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour soda and citric acid into a wooden bowl and carefully rub the loose ingredients with a wooden spatula. There should be no grains and lumps left. A mortar can also be used for grinding.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Then pour powdered sugar. It is better to use homemade powder prepared by yourself than purchased, since store-bought powder contains various additives. Again, using a wooden spatula, we continue to rub the loose ingredients. In the end, you should get a very fine white powder.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Prepare one portion of fizz: pour 2 teaspoons of the resulting white powder into a glass.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Pour the powder 200 ml. of water at room temperature. When water is combined with soda and citric acid, a reaction will occur, as a result of this reaction, carbon dioxide will begin to be released, which in turn will cause those effervescent bubbles. And powdered sugar will only give a sweet taste to a fizzy drink. The finished drink should be started drinking immediately, since after a while the bubbles will stop forming.

From this amount of ingredients, 10 teaspoons of a loose mixture are obtained, that is, it is enough for 5 servings.
Observing the proportions of the ingredients, you can prepare such a billet for fizz for the future. Just the resulting white powder must be poured into a clean, dry jar, closed with an airtight lid and stored in a dark place. It is impossible to store the jar in daylight, since bright light, penetrating into the glass jar, will spoil your workpiece.
If there is no powdered sugar at home, in principle, you can use ordinary sugar, but you need to understand that it will be much worse to dissolve in the drink.
To prepare this drink, it is better to use a new pack of baking soda, as the result will be more spectacular. Tested!
