It should be borne in mind that the starter culture for wine is not always needed and most often there are already berries in the wine that will ensure good fermentation.
To prepare wine yeast, unwashed strawberries and raspberries should be thoroughly kneaded until the juice is released.
Then sugar and yeast are added to the resulting puree.
Choose a suitable fermentation tank. Most often, a glass bottle or jar is used. We put our mixture of berries, sugar and yeast there.
Wine yeast will be ready in two to three days.
In addition to raspberries and strawberries, other berries can be used. Gooseberry or currant berries of any variety are well suited for making a wine starter according to this recipe.
When preparing wine using the obtained wine yeast, it is worth knowing that their percentage of the total wort content should not exceed three percent.
