1. The orange is thoroughly washed in hot water, dried with a paper towel.

2. Grate the zest on a fine grater, disassemble the pulp into slices, cut into small cubes.

3. We sort the currants from the spoiled berries, wash them under running water.

4. In a pre-sterilized jar, we spread the currant 1/3 of the total volume, add the zest and pulp of the orange, pour boiling water to the neck of the jar and immediately cover with a tin lid (pre-cover the lid with boiling water).

5. After about 20 minutes, drain the water into a saucepan, pour sugar, send it to the fire and bring it to a boil. Cover the lid with boiling water again.

6. Pour the resulting syrup into the jar and roll up the lid.

7. Turn the workpiece upside down and wrap it in a warm blanket, leave it for a day, after which we transfer it to a permanent storage place.

One three-liter jar of compote is obtained from the specified amount of ingredients.

Cook with a good mood, let everything turn out delicious!
