Melon is very useful, it contains a large amount of antioxidants, as well as a large set of useful vitamins and minerals. But the pleasure of this fruit can be prolonged with the help of blanks. Various kinds of goodies are prepared from melon. One of the variants of the blanks is described in this recipe. This is melon compote. It is not difficult to cook it, it turns out a very fragrant drink! To somehow enrich the drink, some housewives add vanilla, mint and other flavor enhancers to the compote. But even without them, melon has a pronounced aroma that can cheer up, give strength and energy, and give a wonderful mood.
1. Pour the water into a saucepan. We send it to the fire, bring it to a boil.
2. I wash the melon under running water. Then we cut it in half, clean out all the seeds, cut off the skin.
3. Cut the prepared melon pulp into cubes. The cubes are about 2 by 2 centimeters in size.
4. Put the melon in boiling water, cook for 2-3 minutes. Then pour the sugar, let the crystals completely dissolve.
5. From the moment of adding sugar, we cook the compote for 15 minutes. At the end, add lemon juice.
6. Pour the compote into pre-prepared jars. Roll up. Turn the blanks upside down, cover with a warm blanket.
7. We leave the cans in this position for a day, after which we transfer them to a permanent storage place. A cellar or basement will do.
