Step 1:
Wash the berries.
Step 2:
Peel the berries from the tails. It is most convenient to do this with ordinary scissors.
Step 3:
Put the gooseberries in a deep saucepan and pour water so that it covers the berries completely.
Step 4:
Bring to a boil over low heat, do not forget to stir the berries with a spoon from time to time.
Step 5:
As soon as the mixture boils, pour the sugar into the pan and mix thoroughly.
Step 6:
Bring it to a boil again, remove the foam and turn off the fire.
Step 7:
The finished jam is cooled and can be poured into jars. If you want to get a more delicate consistency of berries, you can grind them through a sieve.
