Homemade Oat Yogurt
A healthy, delicious dish for breakfast or dinner. Make it and enjoy! Of course, oat yogurt is nothing like the popular fermented milk drink, but it's still very, very tasty. I love eating it for breakfast, especially with all sorts of sweet add-ins. Cinnamon, nuts, and honey pair well with its distinct oaty flavor (and that's exactly what this yogurt tastes like).

- First, rinse the groats. Then rinse the flakes. Cover both with water — you don't need too much; the water level should be just ½ inch above the grains. If the liquid gets absorbed too quickly, add a little more. Leave the grains to soak overnight (at least 8 hours). After that, combine the swollen flakes and groats and blend them thoroughly. Pour the resulting mixture into a glass jar and cover it with several layers of cheesecloth. Leave the grains to ferment for 1–3 days at room temperature. The speed depends on the ambient temperature — the warmer the room, the faster the process. Don't forget to stir your future treat from time to time, and taste it to gauge its readiness. From the finished oat yogurt, set aside a small amount to start your next batch — this saves a lot of time going forward. The oat yogurt is ready. Add fruit or berries, syrup or honey, nuts, grated chocolate, or anything else you like. Enjoy, and stay healthy!
