Sugar-Free Dried Fruit Compote with Quince and Pear

A real vitamin bomb — a dried-fruit compote without a gram of sugar! Here's my favorite recipe for a dried-fruit-medley compote. The best part: no sugar goes in at all, and even without it the drink comes out wonderfully tasty and full-flavored. Give it a try!

    1. Cover the dried apricots and prunes with hot water for half an hour, then rinse them. Rinse the rest of the dried fruit if needed. 2. Pour the water into an enamel pot, set it over the heat, and bring to a boil. 3. Add the dried fruit to the boiling water and turn the heat down to its lowest. 4. Simmer the compote over low heat for 30 minutes. The dried fruit will swell up noticeably during this time. 5. Take the pot off the heat, cover it, and let it sit at room temperature for 2–3 hours. Once it's steeped, the fragrant compote is ready to drink. Enjoy!
