- Heat 1.5 liters (about 6 cups) of milk to hot but not boiling, around 160°F (70°C), then stir in 3–4 teaspoons of green tea. Let it steep for 15–20 minutes, strain, and stir in 1 teaspoon of grated ginger. Sip it throughout the day — it's tasty both warm and chilled. A few notes: First and most important — on this day, in addition to the milk tea, drink 2 liters (about 8 cups) of plain or still mineral water. Milk tea is a diuretic that supports the kidneys and liver, so the extra water replenishes your fluids and helps flush things through. Second, and optional — some say to do this reset day on a Wednesday for astrological reasons; I've done it on all sorts of days, stars or no stars. Third, and recommended — use low-fat (1.5%) or skim milk, no more than 2.5%; since the point is to lighten up, there's no need to put extra strain on your system. Enjoy the reset!
