    1. Put the groats in a bowl and rinse them a couple of times.
    1. Transfer the rinsed barley to the slow-cooker bowl and pour in the water.

    1. Choose the "Grains" program and set the cooking time to 50 minutes.
    1. After the beep, leave the porridge on "Keep Warm" for 10 minutes.
