Herring under a fur coat classic New Year

Serve everyone a familiar salad in an unusual way, surprise the guests! Salad "Fur coat" is familiar to many since childhood, its taste will not replace any dish. But to serve a Fur coat on the table is already becoming somehow banal. I suggest not to give up your favorite dish, but to serve it on the table in a new format ;)

Potatoes, beets, carrots are washed, boiled until tender, then cooled and cleaned. We do the same with eggs: hard-boiled, cooled, cleaned.

We grate the prepared vegetables on a coarse grater in different plates so that they do not repaint from beets. Separate the egg whites from the yolks, rub separately on a fine grater.

And now we will form a salad in the form of a roll: we spread a piece of foil or food film on the work surface, then we spread the beets, level them with an even layer, press, salt, cover with mayonnaise (the amount of mayonnaise to taste). Then we make the next layer of egg whites (we leave a little for decoration), carrots, potatoes, each of which is salted and smeared with mayonnaise. Now it's the turn of the herring (I have this fillet, I don't like messing with fish), we spread it on potatoes with a narrow strip. We lift one edge of the foil and very carefully roll it into a roll, connecting both edges.

We send the package to the refrigerator for at least 4 hours (you can also stay overnight if time allows).

Then carefully spread the salad on the dish on which we will serve, seam down. Only now you can remove the foil.

Decorate the fur coat with the remaining egg white and yolk, as well as finely chopped herbs.
