One such dish is pasta with canned stewed meat — quick to make and no hassle. Here's how I do it; give it a go yourself! (Tushonka is Russian-style canned braised meat — substitute any canned or leftover stewed beef or pork.)

- Pour water into a pot, add salt, and set it over the heat. When the water boils, add the pasta and cook according to the package directions.
- Drain the cooked pasta in a colander and let the water run off.
- Put the canned stew in the pot, add the pasta, season with salt and pepper, and stir gently.
- Set the pot over the heat and simmer everything together for 7–10 minutes.
- Garnish the finished dish with fresh parsley.
- That's it — dinner is served!
