Five-Minute Peach Jam for Winter

A taste of sunshine to remember summer by on a cold winter day — stock up now! I absolutely love juicy, sweet peaches, both fresh and turned into jam. This jam comes out wonderfully tasty, and eating it is pure pleasure! The key is to use firmer peaches that aren't overripe; otherwise they'll fall apart as they cook.

  • This five-minute peach jam couldn't be simpler. Use ripe, juicy peaches; wash them and trim away any bruised spots. Halve the peaches, remove the pits, then cut each half into small cubes. You can cook the jam with whole halves, but I prefer to dice them. Toss the chopped peaches with the sugar and let them sit for a few hours so they release their juice. If there's plenty of juice, skip the water; if the peaches weren't very juicy and gave off little liquid, add a little boiled or filtered water. Set the pot over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in the lemon juice and take the pot off the heat. Ladle the finished jam into sterilized jars, seal with lids, wrap in a towel, and leave to cool upside down. Come winter, you'll get to enjoy this delicious peach treat! Perfect with a cup of tea!
