Cooking method
Pre-pour the nuts with boiling water for 10 minutes (steamed they will absorb the syrup better).
Remove the seeds from the plums, add water and boil until softened (10 minutes), then add sugar and nuts and cook until tender over low heat while stirring for another 40 minutes.
Pour hot plum jam with nuts into jars and close.
