Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the necessary products. Cook mashed potatoes in advance. Fry the mushrooms over medium heat in a frying pan without oil.
Step 2:
Cut off the roots of the green onion and chop it finely.
Step 3:
Combine potatoes, mushrooms and onions, season with salt and pepper. Mix everything well into a homogeneous mass. The filling is ready.
Step 4:
Prepare the dough for pies on kefir. Break a chicken egg into a container, add sugar, salt, soda, pour kefir and vegetable oil. Mix everything together.
Step 5:
Pour the sifted flour and butter into another bowl, rub with a fork. Pour kefir into the flour mixture and knead the dough.
Step 6:
First with a spoon, and then with your hands, bring the dough to a homogeneous state. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
Step 7:
Divide the finished dough for pies into portions, form small circles from them.
Step 8:
Put the filling of potatoes and mushrooms in the center of the circle.
Step 9:
Secure the edges and turn the seam down.
Step 10:
Do this with all the blanks.
Step 11:
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it up and put the pies.
Step 12:
Fry the pies on low heat on both sides until golden brown. When you turn the pies to the other side, cover them with a lid and continue to fry.
Step 13:
Put the finished fried pies on a plate with a paper napkin. Then transfer to a saucepan and cover with a lid. This makes the pies more tender.
Step 14:
Serve hot fried pies with potatoes and mushrooms with sour cream. Bon appetit!
Kefir pies are best cooked in a frying pan, not in the oven. They turn out surprisingly airy, just melt in your mouth.
