Cooking method

Step 1:
Cut the onion into half-rings.

Step 2:
Fry the onion in vegetable oil until soft, then season with salt and pepper.

Step 3:
Grate the cheese on the coarse holes of a box grater.

Step 4:
Top one slice of bread with the onion and the other with the cheese.

Step 5:
Press the two slices together, filled sides facing in.

Step 6:
Butter the top of each sandwich on one side.

Step 7:
Heat a skillet well and lay the sandwiches in it butter-side down. Fry in the dry pan (no extra oil).

Step 8:
Once the sandwiches are golden on the bottom, butter the top side, flip them, and fry the other side.

Serve hot. Enjoy!
