Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients for the tortillas. Let's start with the preparation of the dough. We will make the dough fresh, without yeast, on kefir. Pour warm kefir into a bowl, it can be heated in a microwave oven, put on for a few seconds, or just take it out of the refrigerator in advance.
Step 2:
Drive in a chicken egg, pour in a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil, add a pinch of salt, baking powder. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Step 3:
Pour in the sifted wheat flour, in parts, each time mixing the dough with a spoon. Then we spread the dough on a floured work surface. Knead elastic smooth dough.
Step 4:
Wrap it with cling film and let it rest on the table for about 20 minutes.
Step 5:
Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Tortillas with fresh herbs and hard cheese are very tasty. Dill, parsley, green onion, basil are thoroughly washed, dried with paper towels and finely chopped with a knife. Put it in a bowl. Grate the hard cheese and send it to a bowl with herbs. Add a tablespoon of sour cream, salt and ground black pepper to taste, mix thoroughly.
Step 6:
Divide the dough into several pieces, depending on the size of the pan and the desired number of tortillas. Roll out each piece into a thin cake.
Step 7:
Put the filling in the center.
Step 8:
We fasten the edges of the cake to make a bag.
Step 9:
Roll again with a rolling pin to make a thin cake.
Step 10:
Pour vegetable oil into the pan. We warm it up. Fry each tortilla for 5-7 minutes on medium heat on each side until browned. To make the dough bake well inside, you can cover the pan with a lid and keep it on the fire for a few minutes.
Step 11:
The tortillas with stuffing are ready. We serve them hot to the table, with tea or coffee, or with fresh vegetables and herbs, with soup or another dish. Bon appetit!
