Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. Bread for croutons is needed and not necessarily fresh, so you can safely cut dried, slightly stale yesterday's bread. White bread can be used in any shape and type: loaf, loaf, loaf, baguette and so on. If desired, such croutons can be made from black bread, but they will turn out to be more dense and firm.
Step 2:
Cut the bread into pieces 1-1.5 centimeters thick, if the pieces are too large, you can cut them into triangles or cubes, as you like. Pour olive oil or vegetable oil into the pan, whoever has what. We warm it up. We put the cooked pieces of bread in the pan.
Step 3:
Fry the bread over medium heat, on both sides until browned.
Step 4:
Garlic cloves are freed from the husk and finely chopped, passed through a press or grated. Those who like sharper and more spicy dishes can increase the amount of garlic.
Step 5:
Put the crushed garlic in a plate, add a teaspoon of olive oil. Stir, put in the microwave for 30 seconds at medium power.
Step 6:
We take out a plate with garlic, mix the garlic mass and spread it on the surface of the fried pieces of bread. For each piece at once, while the croutons are hot, sprinkle with finely chopped fresh dill. Thanks to the addition of dill and garlic, the croutons turn out very tasty and fragrant, from such a compound a small taste of mushrooms is obtained. If desired, you can sprinkle with other fresh herbs or a mixture.
Step 7:
Stack the croutons and serve them to the table, to soup, hot, salad or as an independent dish with sweet tea or coffee. Enjoy your meal!
