Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
This recipe requires a completely minimal set of products: young zucchini, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, salt, starch, herbs and vegetable oil for frying. Prepare everything you need.
Step 2:
Wash and dry the zucchini with paper napkins. If you use a mature zucchini, then you need to peel it from the rough skin and remove the seeds (the process of frying a mature vegetable will take a little longer). Cut the zucchini into medium-sized cubes. Peel the garlic and rinse it under running water.
Step 3:
Prepare the dressing. To do this, add garlic to soy sauce, which must first be passed through a press or a garlic press, you can also cut it by hand as finely as possible. Send sugar, salt and starch to the sauce (adjust the amount of sugar and salt to your taste, soy sauce is already salty enough, so it is quite possible that you will exclude salt from the list of components altogether). Mix everything very well.
Step 4:
Next, we will proceed to the main cooking process. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan, send the zucchini to fry over high heat. Do not forget to constantly mix the bars so that they do not burn. Fry until the sides are ruddy, which is about four to five minutes.
Step 5:
Mix the finished dressing again, as the starch may settle to the bottom during this time. Pour soy sauce into a frying pan with zucchini, while you need to constantly mix the zucchini so that the sauce does not take a lump and is evenly distributed over all the cubes. Be careful, there may be a lot of oil splashes at this stage, do not get burned! Cook for literally 10-15 seconds. Remove the pan from the heat, cool the zucchini.
Step 6:
Sprinkle the finished dish with finely chopped herbs, allspice and sesame seeds if desired. You can use ground chili pepper if you are a fan of spicy. Serve to the table!
Such zucchini will perfectly complement meat dishes, poultry dishes, boiled rice or potatoes.
As an independent snack, zucchini is also very tasty!
In the vegetable season, on hot summer days, this dish will serve as a lifesaver - easy, fast and delicious! The amount of garlic can be minimized, well, or completely excluded!
Bon appetit!
