Chechen tortillas

Tender and very tasty tortillas with cottage cheese filling! Chechen tortillas are quickly cooked and fried in a frying pan without adding oil. To knead the dough, fresh kefir is taken. For the filling, you will need cottage cheese, but not too moist. The peculiarity of this dish is that for softness, ready-made tortillas need to be lowered into warm water. This will remove the remaining flour. Then they are watered with butter. It is advisable to serve delicious and fragrant tortillas to the table in a warm form. They go well with sour cream or cream.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 45 min

1. Pour kefir into a deep dish. Add soda and salt, mix.
2. Sift the flour. Pour into kefir and knead a thick dough. Leave under cling film for 20 minutes.
3. Finely chop green onions with a knife and mix with cottage cheese, add salt to taste.
4. Add the raw egg to the filling and mix until smooth.
5. Divide the dough into equal parts, about 12-15 pieces.
6. Roll out each part into a flat cake and put the curd filling. Pinch.
7. Roll out the tortilla with the filling.
8. Fry in a dry frying pan on both sides.
9. In warm boiled water, lower the tortillas in turn and stack them on a plate. At the same time, each tortilla should be smeared with melted butter. Serve with herbs to the table. Bon appetit!
