Battered Fried Bologna

Quick and tasty! Tender, savory slices of bologna. Battered bologna is very easy to make and takes just a little time. The key is a good batter with the consistency of sour cream. You can use sour cream in the batter instead of mayonnaise. The bologna fries up fast — just 1–2 minutes per side. Serve it with boiled potatoes, buckwheat, or millet porridge.

  • Beat the egg with a little salt and stir in the mayonnaise. Pour in the milk and mix well. Add the sifted flour and stir until you have a thick batter. Cut the bologna into slices about 5 mm (¼ inch) thick and dip each one in the batter. Fry in a skillet on both sides until golden. Serve the savory battered bologna alongside your main dishes. Enjoy!
