Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min

Take a large bowl and pour warm water into it. It should be at a comfortable temperature for the hand, not hot (no more than 38-40 degrees Celsius), otherwise the yeast risks cooking. Add yeast, salt, sugar, vegetable oil to the water and mix everything well.

Instant yeast allows you not to waste time on the formation of a lush cap on the surface. Immediately after stirring, add the flour and mix well again. It is quite difficult to do this with a fork, you can use a mixer with dough mixers.

Pour the resulting billet with boiling water, while not ceasing to stir well. Boiling water will brew the flour and provide the finished dough with the same softness and elasticity.

Knead the dough with your hands, do not add flour. At first, the mass will stick to your hands a little, but gradually it will take the necessary consistency. The flour poured at this stage will clog the dough and make it too dense.

Immediately after kneading, while the dough has not yet had time to rise, we pinch off a small piece from it, form a ball and roll it out with a rolling pin. In the middle we put the filling and form a pie.

As a filling, you can take minced meat, diversifying its taste with boiled rice, or you can also use chopped egg or onion. If desired, you can expand the range of fillings from boiled potatoes, stewed cabbage, jam, cottage cheese or various fruits.

Preheat a frying pan with a lot of vegetable oil. Fry the pies on medium heat until a crust forms (about 5-7 minutes). Then turn over and fry again on the other side. We spread the finished pies on napkins or paper towels to get rid of excess fat.

Served hot with tea, coffee or other favorite drinks.

Bon appetit!
