    Prepare the ingredients: wash the vegetables and pat them dry with a paper towel.

    Cut the feta or soft cheese into half-round slices. Cut the ham or smoked meat into long, thin sticks. Cut a piece of cucumber with the peel into the same kind of sticks.

    Make four cuts in the tomato in a square pattern and tuck slices of cheese into them — this will be the bottom layer of "rose petals" (see photo).

    In the top of the tomato — in the square — make several deep punctures and stick in "pistils and stamens" made from cucumber and ham.
