- How do you make chicken with frozen vegetables?
- Peel the onion and carrot. Cut the onion into slivers and shave the carrot into thin ribbons with a vegetable peeler. 2. Remove the skin and bones from the chicken leg quarters. Cut the meat into pieces. Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and add the chicken. Fry over medium heat until golden, stirring as needed. Along the way, add the sesame oil (skip it if you'd rather). 3. Add the onion and carrot to the browned chicken. Stir and cook until the vegetables soften, seasoning with salt and pepper as you go. 4. Add the sesame seeds and fry for a minute. 5. Add the frozen vegetables and spinach (chop it if the leaves are large), cover, and cook over low heat for 7 to 15 minutes, until done. Enjoy!
- One thing to keep in mind: the wrong pan can ruin even the best recipe, so choose one that suits what you're cooking.
- Every cooking oil is only good up to a certain point — its smoke point, where it starts to burn and form harmful compounds, including carcinogens. Keep an eye on your frying temperature and pick an oil suited to high heat.
- You can swap the chicken for turkey or any other meat you like. Just keep in mind that the cooking time and calorie count will change accordingly.
