Step 1:
Wash the dry beans well from the remnants of the husk and soak them in water overnight, this will make it softer and reduce its cooking time. Baking soda can be added to the soaking water, this will prevent bloating. Add garlic, bay leaf to the beans, you can also add a little vegetable oil, it gives not only taste, but also reduces the cooking time. Cook until tender.
Step 2:
While the beans are cooking, you need to prepare the sauce. Finely chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater and fry them in vegetable oil. Add tomato paste (for color), a little water and pour in tomato juice, add salt and pepper, if the sauce is sour, add a little sugar, and simmer until tender.
Step 3:
Add the boiled beans to the prepared sauce, after removing the bay leaf and garlic from it and simmer for another 10 minutes. Let the dish cool down a little and you can serve it on the table.
Beans in tomato sauce cooked at home can not be compared to beans bought in the store. It goes well with hunting sausages, which give the dish a light haze flavor, as well as with potatoes both in the form of mashed potatoes and slices, with meat dishes.
