Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can take any stuffing, but it's better that there was a chicken, so cabbage rolls will be juicier. Instead of tomato paste, you can take ketchup or tomatoes in their own juice.
Step 2:
Pour boiling water over the rice and boil until tender. Rinse with cold water.
Step 3:
Finely chop cabbage.
Step 4:
Pour boiling water over the cabbage and leave for 15 minutes to soften it. Then drain the water and squeeze out the cabbage to get rid of excess liquid.
Step 5:
Peel and grate carrots on a coarse grater.
Step 6:
Peel and finely chop the onion.
Step 7:
Fry the chopped carrots and onions in oil in a frying pan until soft.
Step 8:
In a bowl, mix the minced meat, boiled rice, 1/3 of the fried vegetables and cabbage. Mix everything together, add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 9:
From the mass to form the balls and put them in a row on a greased baking dish. Put in a preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Step 10:
Mix the remaining carrots and onions with tomato paste, add water and simmer for ten minutes.
Step 11:
Take the cabbage rolls out of the oven, pour the sauce and put them in the oven for 20 minutes, covered with foil.
Step 12:
Ready-made lazy cabbage rolls with cabbage served hot, sprinkled with sour cream.
