Cooking method
- Make homemade candies just once and you'll never buy them at the store again :) Get the whole family in on the candy-making — this fun activity will bring you together for an enjoyable, lively evening! Candy-making used to be a popular pastime among kids hungry for something sweet. Back then you had to wait in long lines at the shops for tasty sweets. Now there's such a dazzling variety of brightly colored candy boxes that we've grown tired and bored of them. So we're going back to the good old homemade recipes :) Grind the crackers through a meat grinder. Pour melted butter or margarine over the ground crackers, add a can of condensed milk, and mix thoroughly. You'll get a mixture like wet sand that's very easy to shape into all kinds of figures — our future candies. For the filling I used almonds and dried apricots. Roll the finished candies, in whatever shape you've given them, in cocoa powder. For effect, you can arrange them in an empty candy box :) Chill the candies in the fridge for a few hours before serving. And enjoy your tea time!!
