Cooking method
- Toast the baguette slices — I use a toaster, but the oven works too. Drizzle the toasts with olive oil and rub them well with a garlic clove. Cut the tomatoes into small pieces (dice or strips) and mince the garlic. Toss the tomatoes with salt, chili pepper, black pepper, olive oil, and basil. Spoon the tomatoes onto the bruschetta and serve right away.
