Step 1:
Necessary ingredients for cooking shrimp. Properly boiled seafood has a rich taste and appetizing aroma. The smell and color are significantly affected by the amount of salt and spices with which the product is cooked. You can, of course, boil it without additives, but the taste will turn out to be quite bland, bay leaf, different varieties of peppers, fresh and dried herbs, etc. are used to enrich the taste qualities .
Step 2:
First of all, we put a pot of water on the fire (the ratio of shrimp and water is at least 1:2), and in the meantime we get rid of the ice coat. Very often, shrimp are sent to the pan directly with it, but this is a common mistake. Very quickly do it just by washing them under warm water - so get rid of ice, as well as excess dirt, broken antennae and paws
Step 3:
Seafood does not absorb salt well, so it needs to be put more, the recommended amount of salt per 1 liter of water is 40-45 g, for peeled shrimp, the amount of salt should be halved
Step 4:
Add sprigs of parsley and dill to boiling water, you can also use dried herbs - the flavor will turn out a little different
Step 5:
Add bay leaf - it will perfectly complement the flavor of brine
Step 6:
Add other dry spices - allspice and black pepper, they will be very useful here. The set of spices is quite conditional, you can use the ones I suggested, or you can add, for example, stars of cloves, garlic, onions, a special set of spices for seafood or other spices to taste
Step 7:
Add the prepared shrimp to a saucepan with fragrant brine. The recommended cooking time for ordinary shrimp is 2-3 minutes after boiling. Tiger prawns are boiled for 7 minutes, king prawns will need 7-10 minutes
Step 8:
In order to make the shrimp easier to clean, we wash them under a stream of cold water
Step 9:
Before serving, pour lemon juice over the shrimp and serve with or without your favorite sauce. Bon appetit!
