Beef in Cranberry-Wine Sauce

The pairing of tender beef and cranberries is always delicious and a little unexpected! In a word, this beef is — INCREDIBLE! Tender and fragrant, it melts in your mouth. It was my first time making beef braised in wine, and I was blown away by the first taste. I'm speechless.

  • Put the prepared meat in a food-safe bag, add two tablespoons of flour and the spices, and toss to coat. Thinly slice the onion. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet, add the beef, and sear it on all sides. Transfer the beef to a plate. Heat another 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pot, add the onion, and sauté until golden. Return the meat to the pot. Add the wine and broth and bring to a boil, stirring. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat, cover tightly, and simmer for an hour and a half over low heat — the beef should turn meltingly tender. Then stir in the cranberry sauce and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Your beef braised in wine is ready!
