Cooking method

    1) Sauté the onion and carrot and divide them into two portions.

    2) Boil the rice until half-cooked and rinse it with cold water.

    3) Cut the cabbage into small cubes, salt it, and squeeze it with your hands.

    4) Combine the ground meat, rice, cabbage, half of the sautéed onion and carrot, salt to taste, ground black pepper, and soft butter, and mix very well.

    5) Lightly toast the flour in a dry skillet, then, in a separate bowl, stir it together with 100 ml (about ⅓ cup) of water until smooth. Shape the mixture into cabbage rolls.

    7) Arrange all the cabbage rolls in a baking dish, trying to keep them from touching, and carefully pour the tomato sauce over them. Cover the dish with foil and bake in a preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, then remove the foil and leave them in for another 15 minutes so the tops brown a little.
