Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the necessary ingredients for cooking this dish. If you take frozen chicken wings, then they must first be thawed. To do this, leave them for a few hours at room temperature or defrost them in a microwave oven on defrost mode. If the honey is candied, then it can be warmed up a little in the microwave.
Step 2:
Cut the smallest part from each chicken wing. It will not be useful for cooking. There is almost no meat on it, but when baking it will burn.
Step 3:
For the sauce, take a spacious bowl and combine soy sauce, honey and vegetable oil in it. Add dried basil, salt and ground pepper .. add very little salt, as the soy sauce itself is quite salty. For lovers of low-salted food, perhaps this will be enough. Mix all the ingredients. I usually use a plastic bowl. But you can also use glassware.
Step 4:
Mix the chicken wings well in the resulting sauce so that it evenly covers the entire surface of the wings on all sides. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and leave to stand in the kitchen for an hour. During this time, the chicken meat will be soaked in the prepared sauce.
Step 5:
Prepare a baking tray.Cover it with cooking paper. It is better not to use foil, since when baking it sticks to the wings and it becomes difficult to separate it. Spread the chicken wings over the entire surface of the baking sheet and place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 30-40 minutes. By time, be guided by your oven.
Step 6:
The finished wings will smell very fragrant and will become an appetizing, golden color. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and arrange the wings on plates.
Step 7:
Serve the finished wings as an independent snack or add a side dish of potatoes. Bon appetit!
Instead of the oven, pickled wings can simply be fried in a frying pan.
