Step 1:
How to make bagels with cottage cheese in the oven? This is a very simple pastry that even a novice housewife can handle. Start cooking with the dough. The oil should be cold. Flour of the highest grade.
Step 2:
Cut cold butter into cubes, mix with flour and grind into fine crumbs. I rubbed the dough with my hands, or you can use a blender - it will turn out faster this way.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl, combine the egg with sugar and salt and whisk with a whisk or fork until smooth.
Step 4:
Pour the egg mixture into the flour crumbs. Add sour cream and baking powder.
Step 5:
Knead a thick, very soft, elastic homogeneous dough. Depending on the size of the egg, the moisture content of the sour cream flour may need a little more. But do not rush to add flour at the very beginning of kneading. Gradually, moisture is absorbed into the dough and it becomes thicker. But if after a long kneading the dough remains runny, add 1-2 tablespoons of flour. I needed another 1 tbsp. l. with a small slide. Roll the dough into a ball.
Step 6:
Now prepare the filling. It is better to take cottage cheese not dry, with a fat content of 5-9%. You can replace regular sugar with vanilla sugar.
Step 7:
Combine cottage cheese with sugar and mash with a fork.
Step 8:
Roll out the dough into a circle about 2-3 mm thick.
Step 9:
Cut the dough into triangles.
Step 10:
Spread 1 tsp of cottage cheese filling on the wide edge of each triangle. Roll the triangles into rolls from the wide edge to the narrow one. You will get medium-sized bagels.
Step 11:
Transfer the blanks to a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake the bagels with cottage cheese in a preheated 180 ° oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. I baked immediately on the "top+bottom" mode. Determine the exact time by your oven. Bon appetit!
