Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients for the dish according to the list.
Step 2:
If the pollock is purchased frozen, then it needs to be thawed, washed and cleaned well, split the meat into pieces, remove the bones.
Step 3:
Carrots are washed, cleaned and grated on a medium grater.
Step 4:
Peel the onion and finely chop it with a knife.
Step 5:
Pour vegetable oil into the pan. We warm it up. We put cooked onions and carrots on the heated oil. Add a little salt and ground black pepper, mix. Fry them over medium heat until golden brown.
Step 6:
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. We put a vegetable roast on it, it will be a vegetable "pillow" for fish.
Step 7:
Peel the garlic and finely chop a few cloves with a knife, sprinkle garlic on top. Next, we spread the pollock fillets. The fish also needs a little salt and pepper to taste. In a glass, we dilute tomato paste with a small amount of water and pour this mixture of vegetables and fish so that it covers the contents less than half.
Step 8:
Grate the hard cheese and sprinkle it on top of the fish. The baking dish is tightened with foil, gently turning the edges. The oven is heated to 180 degrees. We put the fish in the oven. Bake for about 25 minutes, you need to focus on the work of your oven and the volume of the dish. Then remove the foil from the mold, bake for about 10 more minutes so that the liquid completely evaporates. Let the cheese melt. The dish is ready.
Step 9:
Serve pollock with vegetables to the table, sprinkled with fresh herbs on top. If desired, you can make a side dish of mashed potatoes or pasta for the fish. This dish is delicious both hot and cold. Enjoy your meal!
