Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make a cottage cheese casserole in the oven for a child? Prepare the products. Choose high-quality cottage cheese, natural, without vegetable fats. It is better if it is soft and pasty, rather than crumbly. Any fat content will do, but the higher it is, the tastier the casserole will turn out. Take the butter corresponding to GOST. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance, it should become soft.
Step 2:
Put the cottage cheese in a large bowl. If the cottage cheese is dry and lumpy, then rub it through a sieve or punch it with a blender. Add soft butter to the cottage cheese. I didn't have time to take it out in advance, so I put the oil in the microwave for a while, without bringing it to full melting. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat in the eggs. Be sure to wash the eggs before cooking, their shells may contain harmful microbes. Beat the products with a mixer.
Step 3:
If the mass is too thick, then pour a little milk into it, a couple of tablespoons. Alternatively, you can add sour cream or natural yogurt. Pour semolina into the curd base. And beat it again with a mixer, but at low speed.
Step 4:
Leave the mass to stand for 30 minutes. During this time, the semolina will swell and absorb excess liquid.
Step 5:
Take a suitable baking dish. Any heat-resistant form is suitable for this recipe. If you use a silicone mold, then you do not need to smear it with butter or margarine. But it is better to lightly lubricate metal, ceramic or glass dishes with oil so that the baking does not burn. I smeared it with butter. My form is 31*17 cm in size, but I cooked 2 servings. Put the curd mass into the mold, level the top with a spatula.
Step 6:
Bake the casserole in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 35-55 minutes, depending on the size of the mold and the characteristics of the oven. It should become ruddy. Remove the finished casserole from the oven and cool slightly.
Step 7:
Serve the casserole to the table with sour cream, jam, condensed milk, berries. It is delicious both warm and cold. Bon appetit!
How to choose semolina, cook the perfect porridge from it and much more, read the article about semolina and semolina .
How to bake a lush and tender casserole? Do not expect the same increase in volume from the curd mass, as, for example, in a yeast cake or sponge cake. The splendor of the curd casserole directly depends on the size of the chosen shape: the smaller the shape and the higher the sides, the higher the layer of curd mass for baking will turn out, which means the finished casserole will be higher.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
