Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake a turkey with mushrooms and cheese? To make the dish juicy and delicious, the turkey must be pre-marinated. Prepare the necessary ingredients for the marinade. If the honey is thickened, melt it in a water bath.
Step 2:
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, liquid honey, basil, ginger and ground black pepper. Mix well. You can use ready-made spice mixes. In this case, add them to taste, taking into account the composition indicated on the package. If the mixture contains salt, then you can over-salt the marinade, since soy sauce has a salty taste. Be careful!
Step 3:
Champignons are better suited for baking, they are convenient to cut into plates. Cheese can be taken solid or melted. Choose tomatoes that are dense, unripe, so that they retain their shape when sliced and baked.
Step 4:
Wash the fillets, dry them with paper towels. With a sharp knife, make transverse incisions at a distance of 1 cm from each other, without cutting to the bottom of the breast.
Step 5:
Grease the turkey from all sides and in sections with the prepared marinade. Leave the fillets to marinate for 1-1.5 hours. You can leave it overnight. The longer the pickling lasts, the more intense the taste will be.
Step 6:
Wash the mushrooms, dry them, cut them into thin plates.
Step 7:
Similarly cut the cheese into slices.
Step 8:
Wash tomatoes, cut into thin circles with a sharp knife. Tomatoes can be replaced with other vegetables (bell pepper, red onion).
Step 9:
Transfer the breast to a baking dish. Insert 2 slices of cheese, mushrooms and a tomato into each pocket.
Step 10:
Cover the mold with the breast on top with foil. It is desirable that the foil does not come into contact with the filling, otherwise the cheese will stick to it during baking.
Step 11:
Bake the turkey in a preheated 190C oven for about 50 minutes. Then carefully, so as not to get burned, remove the foil and bake for another 25 minutes until golden. The cooking time is individual and depends on the characteristics of your oven.
Step 12:
Cut the finished turkey with mushrooms and cheese into portions and serve with any side dish. Bon appetit!
So that the oven has time to heat up to the desired temperature, turn it on in advance (10-20 minutes before the start of cooking).
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
