Puff samsa with meat in the oven

Samsa is a delicious oriental puff pastry: for breakfast or for dinner. Cook! As a child, my parents often sent me to my grandmother in the village for the summer. And we had an Uzbek neighbor there. She cooked amazing Kyrgyz dishes and was known throughout the village for her pastries, all kinds of meat soups and excellent goat's milk cheese... He and my grandmother often exchanged recipes and secrets - that's how I got this recipe for samsa. Try it and you!

The easiest way is to take the finished puff pastry in the store. It is better if it is yeast-free. Meat can also be bought already ground, but it is preferable to buy meat and crank it in a meat grinder yourself - this will make it much tastier.

Add cumin and coriander, ground black pepper, salt to the finished minced meat, then mix everything well. Peel and chop the onion finely, add it to the fragrant minced meat.

Roll out the pre-thawed dough, grease with oil, roll the layer into a roll. Now put the resulting roll in the refrigerator for at least half an hour, or better - for an hour. After lying in the refrigerator, take out the dough, cut the roll into pieces about 4 cm long.

Put the pieces on a floured surface in circles up and roll out into a rather thin cake, but try not to damage the layers. Spread out the minced meat, fasten the samsa, giving it the shape of a triangle (traditional shape). Repeat the same steps with all the pieces of dough.

Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, put the samsa on top. Brush the surface of each puff with a shaken mixture of yolk and boiled water, sprinkle with blackberries or sesame seeds.

Put the baking tray in a preheated oven to 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes (until the filling is ready and the samsa is ruddy).

Bon appetit!
