Cooking method
For this dish, it is best to take tubers of oval shape, approximately the same size, then when slicing there will be uniform elongated, appetizing slices.
Wash the necessary amount of potatoes prepared from the ground and dirt. Peel it with a vegetable peeler. Cut it into oblong slices and rinse again. At the same time, excess starch will be washed off from it and it will not fall apart during cooking.
Pour boiling water over the washed potatoes and boil for 5 minutes. Then cover the pan with a lid and drain all the water from it. Cool the potatoes a little. It is not necessary to cook it until it is ready. Only slightly. Then it will come in the oven.
Now get busy with the marinade.
Peel a couple of cloves of garlic and pass it through a garlic press into a spacious bowl. Then add soy sauce, vegetable oil, salt and spices to the garlic. Mix it up.
Pour the undercooked potatoes into the bowl and mix well so that the potatoes are all covered with sauce.
Cover the baking tray with foil and put the potatoes on it. Try to spread it out so that it lies freely, without touching each other.
Put a baking sheet with potatoes in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees, for 20-30 minutes.
During this time, an appetizing ruddy crust forms on the potatoes. So the potatoes are ready! Remove the baking sheet from the oven using a potholder, as it is very hot.
Serve the finished potatoes immediately hot.
I like to serve this potato dish with any meat or fish dish. I can also recommend it for vegetarians. And as a snack, for friendly gatherings, it is simply irreplaceable. Due to the fact that potatoes are not fried, but baked, it is quite possible to allow people watching their figure. In reasonable portions, of course.
Such a dish will decorate any feast with its appearance!
Bon appetit!
