Step 1:
How to make strawberry puff pastry puffs? Very simple. First, prepare the necessary ingredients according to the list. The dough can be used store-bought puff pastry in the form of a roll or in plates. I use puff pastry in square plates - it doesn't have to be rolled out too much to get the right shape and size. Optionally, you can replace the dough with ready-made yeast or puff-yeast.
Step 2:
Wash the strawberries, remove the tails. Cut each berry into 4 pieces. If the berries are small, you can leave them whole.
Step 3:
Defrost the dough in advance. Roll each plate slightly into an even square and cut into 4 squares.
Step 4:
Fold each square into a triangle. Make incisions with a sharp knife, not reaching the upper corner of 5 mm.
Step 5:
Expand the squares and lubricate the central part along the edges with yolk.
Step 6:
Wrap the cut edges in opposite directions. The puffs will turn out to be beautifully shaped. I got 8 puffs from two plates of dough.
Step 7:
Place the products on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Pour a little starch into the center of the puff. This is necessary so that the juice from the strawberries does not soak the puff. Thanks to starch, most of the juice will thicken. In such puffs not made of watery berries or fruits, for example, with apples, starch is not needed.
Step 8:
Pour a little sugar on top of the starch and smooth it out.
Step 9:
Put the sliced strawberries on the sugar. Strawberries can be supplemented or replaced with other berries or fruits.
Step 10:
Lubricate the products with yolk. Put the puffs in preheated to 190°From the oven for 25-30 minutes. The exact time depends on your oven.
Step 11:
Put the finished strawberry puffs on a plate and serve to the table, garnished with fresh strawberries and mint. Bon appetit!
