  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make sand rings with nuts according to GOST? First prepare the flour. Sift it into a separate bowl to get rid of possible debris and saturate it with oxygen, which will make the baking more magnificent. Mix the flour with baking soda or baking powder. In the original recipe of GOST there is soda, choose what you want.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. If you did not have time to do this, then soften it at low power in the microwave. No need to heat it, put it on for just a few seconds. Beat the soft butter with sugar. Add salt, vanilla sugar and egg to it.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Pour in all the flour and mix the dough in 15 seconds at the minimum speed of the mixer. You will get a sand crumb.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

From the resulting crumbs, knead a homogeneous dough with your hands. Do not knead for a long time — the shortbread dough from a long kneading becomes hard in the finished products.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Fry the peanuts in the oven for 10 minutes at a temperature of 160°-170°. To do this, pour it on a baking sheet covered with paper. In the process, mix the nuts a couple of times.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Roll out the cooled dough into a layer to a thickness of 6-7 mm. To prevent it from sticking, sprinkle the table and rolling pin with flour. Cut out mugs from it with a shape or ring.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Cut holes inside the mug to make rings. If you do not have a special recess, take the cork from the bottle.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Grease the rings with beaten egg yolk and sprinkle with nuts. Place the rings on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Put them in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Bake the rings for 12-15 minutes. They do not need to be browned. When baking for a long time, the shortbread dough becomes harder. Cool the finished rings and serve them to the table. Enjoy your meal!

Be sure to wash the eggs before use, as even the seemingly clean shell may contain harmful bacteria. It is best to use food detergents and a brush.
