Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2:
Filling. Finely chop the nuts. Nuts can be taken as more or a little less.
Step 3:
Combine nuts with maple syrup and mix.
Step 4:
Defrost the dough, roll out on a floured surface, cut into squares measuring 12x12 cm.
Step 5:
Make several oblique incisions along the edges of each square.
Step 6:
Put 2-3 tablespoons of filling in the middle of each square.
Step 7:
Braid the puffs with a pigtail.
Step 8:
Grease the top of the buns with maple syrup.
Step 9:
Sprinkle with nuts.
Step 10:
Put the puffs on a parchment-lined baking sheet at a distance from each other. Bake the puffs in a preheated 180 ° C oven for about 20 minutes. To have a ruddy crust, I smeared the puffs with maple syrup again at the end of baking, when the dough had already risen and got stronger.
Pecans can be safely replaced with cheaper walnuts. This, of course, will be a little different, but it's also delicious.
