Cooking method
Measure out the necessary ingredients.
Defrost the dough at room temperature.
Melt butter (200 g) in the microwave.
Peel the apples. Cut, remove the middle with seeds. Cut into small cubes. To prevent them from darkening, sprinkle with lemon juice.
Soak the raisins in hot water for 5 minutes. You can pour cognac or rum in a turk. Put it on the stove. Heat it up slightly. Remove from heat. Cover with cling film. Leave to infuse for 15 minutes.
Put the pan on the stove. Melt 50 g of butter. Fry the apples in it, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
In a container, mix the finished apples, raisins, almond petals. Mix it up. Almonds can be replaced with walnuts crushed in a blender. If you want, add ½ tsp of cinnamon and a pinch of cloves. Spices will give baking a bright and very appetizing aroma. Add sugar to your liking. It all depends on whether sour or sweet apples are used.
When baking apples, the juice will be released. To prevent the baking from becoming too wet and watery, it is worth adding three tablespoons of breadcrumbs, semolina, pieces of sponge cake or fried crumb of stale white bread.
Cover the table with baking parchment paper. Expand the dough layer. Brush the surface liberally with melted butter. To prevent the remaining sheets of dough from drying out, you need to cover them with a damp towel. Put the second sheet on top. It is also lubricated with oil. Expand the third sheet. From the edge along the entire length, distribute the apple filling. From the bottom edge, step back about 1 cm, and leave 5 cm free on the sides. Wrap the side edges of the dough first. Then roll the roll not very tightly. The seam should be at the bottom. Lubricate the edges well with oil so that they stick together well.
It turned out two rolls of three sheets of dough in each. Together with the paper, transfer the blanks to a baking sheet. Grease the top with oil and sprinkle with almonds.
Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Strudel will get an appetizing golden "tan". The top will become crispy.
Remove the baking sheet. Let the baking cool down. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Cut into portions. Serve the treat with tea or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Help yourself to health!
