Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make cookies? Prepare the ingredients. Butter should be soft, at room temperature.
Step 2:
Sift wheat flour through a sieve and mix it with baking powder.
Step 3:
In a separate bowl, shake the eggs and set aside a tablespoon of eggs to lubricate the cookies before baking.
Step 4:
Add sugar, salt and vanilla sugar to most of the eggs.
Step 5:
Add butter at room temperature to the same container.
Step 6:
Whisk everything with an immersion blender. I think you can use a whisk.
Step 7:
Add flour in portions and knead the dough.
Step 8:
It can take a little more flour or a little less. The dough should be soft, but not sticky.
Step 9:
This time I had to add one tablespoon more flour.
Step 10:
This is how the dough should end up: cool, not sticky, well preserving the shape.
Step 11:
Cover it with a film and put it away in the cold for half an hour.
Step 12:
Mix the previously beaten egg with milk.
Step 13:
Assemble the meat grinder, only without a knife. Mince the dough in the same way as in the photo.
Step 14:
We need quite long stripes, about 20 cm in length. Cut them off when you have enough.
Step 15:
Transfer the dough strips to the parchment laid out on the mold. Try not to crumple it and not to overheat it in your hands.
Step 16:
Select a few strips of dough and twist the roses right here on the parchment.
Step 17:
That's it.
Step 18:
Smear all the roses with egg and milk with a brush.
Step 19:
Sprinkle them with poppy seeds on top.
Step 20:
Bake cookies for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees until golden brown. Determine the time by your oven. Check the cookies in 8-10 minutes, maybe you will bake them less, make sure they don't burn.
Step 21:
Cool the finished cookies and transfer to a wide plate.
Step 22:
This is how cookies look from below, they are well baked, but they are not burnt.
Step 23:
This is how the cookie looks in the rift. It tastes very delicate and fragile.
Everyone knows cookies for the meat grinder. Before this recipe, I saw only the shape of a chrysanthemum and smooth mounds of minced dough strips, and somehow that's it. And here are roses, and even with a poppy. It's amazing that I haven't seen this option before. Apparently, it's time to be inspired by the new face of a long-forgotten baking. From these ingredients, 25 cookies of a decent size are obtained. Cookies do not turn out to be very sweet, so sweet tooths can add sugar to the dough or sprinkle cookies with poppy seeds mixed with sugar for a sugar crust.
Be prepared for the fact that flour may need more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
