Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the specified ingredients. Choose potatoes of non-starchy varieties so that they retain their shape when baking. The dish will be much tastier from new potatoes. I took 3.2% fat content of milk, but it doesn't matter. Salt and ground black pepper to taste, you can take your favorite spices for potatoes. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
Step 2:
Prepare the mold for use in the oven, I took an enameled mold with a diameter of 22 centimeters. Foil will also be required. Wash and peel the potatoes. Using a grater or a knife, cut the potatoes into thin circles. Lubricate the selected baking dish with butter (a teaspoon of butter). Put half of the sliced potatoes in the mold. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.
Step 3:
Peel the onion, rinse and cut into rings or half rings. Place the evenly chopped onion on top of the first layer of potatoes.
Step 4:
Put the remaining sliced potatoes on a layer with onions. You can lay it out chaotically, or you can lay it out more carefully. Add salt and ground black pepper on top.
Step 5:
Heat the milk so that it becomes hot and pour over the potatoes, but make sure that it does not reach the edge. When baking, milk can rise and pour out of the mold.
Step 6:
Pre-melt butter, this can be done in a water bath or in a microwave. Pour the melted butter over the entire surface of the potatoes.
Step 7:
Cover the mold with foil and put it in a preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Step 8:
Then remove the foil and bake the potatoes for another 10-15 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
Step 9:
Carefully remove the finished potatoes from the oven and place them on serving plates. Such potatoes can be served as an independent dish, or they can be offered as a side dish to meat, chicken, semi-finished products. In any case, offer fresh vegetables or homemade pickles to potatoes.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information in this article !
