Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare Grandma's pie, take the products from the list.
Step 2:
Prepare the dough first. To do this, sift flour into a bowl, add sugar and baking powder, add a pinch of salt, mix.
Step 3:
Add the sliced softened butter. Cut it with a knife along with the dry ingredients.
Step 4:
Rub the mixture with oil with your hands to form a crumb.
Step 5:
Add the eggs, mix again, gather everything into a ball and knead the dough. At first it will seem impossible, but gradually you will gather everything into a single ball. If necessary (it depends on the flour, the size of the eggs - I have a small egg and yolk for half the norm) pour in a spoonful or two of cold water.
Step 6:
Put the resulting dough in a plastic bag for 10 minutes so that it softens slightly, all the components come together - this should always be done with any dough.
Step 7:
Then divide into two unequal parts by volume - send the smaller one to the freezer for 15-20 minutes, and spread the larger one with your fingers along the bottom of the baking dish. Sculpt small sides. Pour out thick jam or jam, in this case - plum jam.
Step 8:
Remove the second piece of dough from the freezer and rub it on the surface of the pie on a coarse grater.
Step 9:
Cover the entire surface of the pie with grated dough and send it to the oven heated to 200 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Step 10:
Watch the browning of the dough so that the cake does not burn.
Step 11:
Take out the ready-made Grandmother's pie, put it on a dish, let it cool down a little and cut into portions. Serve with tea.
A common recipe for a simple pie that even a novice cook can handle.
