Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare potatoes baked in cream with nutmeg, you will need: potatoes, cream, onions, egg, salt, nutmeg, butter to lubricate the mold, any greens to serve.
Step 2:
Peel the onion, wash it, cut it into small cubes.
Step 3:
Beat the egg until smooth.
Step 4:
Combine with cream, mix.
Step 5:
Peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them into thin circles. If the tubers are too large, then in semicircles. We try to cut as thin as possible. The thinner the potatoes are sliced, the more tender the finished dish will be.
Step 6:
In a convenient container, combine sliced potatoes, onions, nutmeg. Salt and mix everything well. If desired, you can add spices and seasonings suitable for vegetables. I purposely did not use anything else, so as not to interrupt the taste of nutmeg.
Step 7:
Fill the potatoes with egg-cream mixture and mix lightly.
Step 8:
We spread the resulting mass into a baking dish, greased with butter, and level it.
Step 9:
Cover the mold with foil from above. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 35 minutes.
Step 10:
Then remove the foil and brown the dish for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 11:
Take out the finished potatoes and serve immediately, sprinkling with chopped fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
