Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the necessary ingredients, all the flour must be sifted to saturate it with oxygen
Step 2:
Mix dry yeast, sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour
Step 3:
Add half a cup of water in small portions (so that there are no lumps) and mix until the yeast dissolves
Step 4:
Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 20 minutes
Step 5:
Meanwhile, peel the onion and finely chop
Step 6:
Fry in a preheated frying pan with the addition of vegetable oil until golden brown
Step 7:
Mix wheat flour with salt
Step 8:
Pour the remaining water into the approaching sourdough, add vegetable oil, fried onions and both types of flour, knead the dough, knead well. This dough is quite sticky, so if you have a dough mixer or bread maker, be sure to use their services - this will greatly simplify the kneading process
Step 9:
Cover the dough with a towel and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour
Step 10:
After an hour, the dough oh-oh-rose very well - I didn't even expect this from him! We grind it and form buns
Step 11:
From these ingredients I got 13 buns. Spread them on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and greased with a small amount of vegetable oil
Step 12:
We separate the yolk from the protein and lubricate the buns with it so that they acquire a beautiful golden color when baking
Step 13:
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top
Step 14:
We put the buns in the oven at a minimum temperature, if the oven is gas, like mine, we leave the door ajar, because after all, it does not allow us to reach a temperature of 50-60 degrees, as in electric. We leave the buns for proofing for 15-20 minutes
Step 15:
Then close and bake them at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes
Step 16:
Take our fragrant golden buns out of the oven and leave to cool
Step 17:
The aroma of the buns is simply amazing - most likely your household has already tightened up)
Step 18:
And this is a cross-section photo - you can see how airy and porous they are! Bon appetit!
