Pizza with tomato sauce without meat and sausage

Traditional Italian pizza with tomatoes and mozzarella. The pizza turns out to be very fragrant, with a thin crispy crust. It's very tasty. The sauce can be served not only with pizza, it will go well with pasta or meat dishes, it will be perfectly combined with just a piece of fried bread.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Measure out the products for the test.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

To prepare the dough, we sift our flour into a bowl or just on the table, make a recess in the center and pour warm water there. Add sugar and yeast to the water and leave it for 5 minutes so that our yeast passes into the solution.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

After the yeast has dissolved, add olive oil, salt and knead the dough.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

The dough should turn out soft, elastic. The kneaded dough is left to rest in a warm place for 30-40 minutes before increasing in volume. While the dough is resting, let's do the sauce.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Preparing the products for the sauce and filling.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

For tomato sauce, remove the skin (to do this, we make incisions on tomatoes and lower them into boiling water for 2 minutes, after such a procedure, the skin is very easily removed).

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Pull out the seeds (this is not necessary, but this is our sauce it will boil faster and will not be liquid).

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Finely chop the prepared tomatoes and send them to a preheated frying pan with olive oil. Boil our sauce until it thickens (it took me about 15-20 minutes), at the end add salt, sugar and pepper to taste, finely chop garlic and also add to the sauce, if desired, you can add dry herbs, I added basil and oregano.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

For the filling, cut tomatoes into thin circles, also do with mozzarella (it can be replaced with any other cheese that you have).

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

We divide the dough that came up into 2 parts (from this portion of the dough we get 2 pizzas with a diameter of about 24 cm).

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

The dough can be rolled out or stretched with my hands, I stretched with my hands. We send our dough to the baking sheet.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Lubricate it with our sauce, spread a layer of tomatoes on top.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

    Then a layer of mozzarella.

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

We bake our pizza in a preheated oven at 220-230 C, about 7-10 minutes (focus on your oven, a light golden crust should appear on the dough). The finished pizza is sprinkled with fresh basil leaves and served to the table. Bon appetit!
